About the work.

Wiring, electrical boxes, and panel enclosures go in while the framing is still open. These photos show Blackstone’s construction work before insulation and drywall conceal the electrical system.

Wiring before the walls close

During rough-in, cables run through the framing to outlet, switch, and fixture locations. Panel enclosures and circuit routes take shape before finish work begins.

Why the rough-in phase matters

This is the point when lighting, receptacles, dedicated circuits, equipment feeds, panel locations, and other-trade conflicts can still be addressed without removing finished surfaces.

After the required inspections and wall finishes, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and panel terminations can be completed and tested.

When does rough-in happen?

Rough-in generally occurs after the structure and major layouts are established but before insulation and finished wall surfaces conceal the wiring.
